This large UNC cake was very fun to make! We had a lot of cake carving leftovers and enjoyed the feast! It measured 38 inches and it wouldn’t fit out the door without tilting it! Whew! It made it, but next time we will keep it under 36 inches. The cake flavor was chocolate covered with Tar Heel blue butter cream icing carved to match UNC Chapel Hill. This Raiders football picture cake was for a small birthday and served eight. Thomas was celebrating his 15th birthday and he was very surprised to see his favorite football team on his cake. We used edible paper and edible ink made from rice and potatoes. At least that part of the sports cake was healthy!
